Just about to start a new GPC campaign with 4 newbie players and have been hunting out my old links for Pendragon stuff.
The one thing that I could never do without is Domesday and yet its not mentioned here.... so here does!

Domesday is a small windows program that will generate family trees/Census, provide names lists and stat blocks and armorial.
On top of all that it has a hunt generator which I always use as it produces a nicely layed out sheet with all relevant info for the hunt.
And if thats not enough then the program can be customised as well with XML files being edited to provide more options for the generators.
Anyway, link is below and I recommend that people check it out if you haven't already

Sounds like it has been expanded quite a bit since I last looked at it. I'll check it out.

Does anyone know if Domesday is now dead development wise? The last update is several years old and there are parts that look unfinished, eg only being able to create Cymric knights. It's been a life saver for me.

I dunno, but I sure wish there was an online, platform-agnostic version. If anyone had a mind to do the back-end programming, I could design the front-end (it's what I do for a livin' dont'cha know).

I just discovered Domesday yesterday. Usually don't like to fire up the PC side of the mac but it's good. I like the arms generator and hunt generators the best. It helped me understand what I was doing wrong and also compels me to run a falconry event tomorrow.

From what I've seen on your character sheet Taliesin, your interface for the front-end would be tremendous. Those Domesday projects in the works look mighty useful. I wish I knew what's required for the backend. I work with SQL databases in my day job, but not the actual structure of them and not the web side of things. I'd love to learn what it'd take to help out, if only I had all the spare time instead of running games of imaginary knights :)

I have spoken to the guy who developed it a couple of time via email and he said that he was busy working on a new version. That was around 6 months ago though.

On the subject of the only being able to create Cymric knights, its very easy to edit the XML to add new lands and people.
I did this a while ago when I ran a campaign set in Gaul and it worked perfectly.
Think I may still have the edited XML files if anyone is interested in them.

You know I looked through those xml files thinking it would just be data and nothing else but, unless I'm looking in the wrong place, there seemed an awful look of code in there too. I'm a total XML noob btw.

XML is just basic data structured like a table
each block starts and ends with a tag like <npc> and </npc>
If you copy and edit a block then you end up with a bunch of new options.
Fairly simple once you get the hang of it.

Having poked around in the files a bit more I see what you mean. It's a very handy tool. I hope the chap that coded it does continue with development.
