View Full Version : Relative SIZes?
Hi all,
I need a list of relative SIZ values in Pendragon. Like SIZ for animals, creatures, buildings (?), I seem to remember that such a list existed; contributed by a player, perhaps?
I could be hallucinating.
Or, alternatively, what is the SIZ of a medium castle? ;D

In earlier editions of KAP, cities and fortifications were measured in AREA rather than SIZ. But your best bet is the chart from p. 296 of Basic Role Playing:
SIZ English Metric
1 1-12 lb .5-5.5 kg
4 38-51 lb 17-23 kg
8 109-120 lb 50-55 kg
12 156-168 lb 71-76 kg
16 220-239 lb 100-109 kg
20 310-338 lb 141-154 kg
24 440-479 lb 200-218 kg
32 880-959 lb 400-436 kg
40 1760-1919 lb 800-872 kg
48 3520-3829 lb 1600-1741 kg
56 7040-7649 lb 3200-3477 kg
64 7.1-7.7 tons 6455-7000 kg
72 14.1-15.4 tons 6.4-7 metric tons

Just to be sure, the "SIZ" of this list corresponds to the SIZ of Pendragon?

Should be close enough for government work, seeing as BRP and KAP have a common ancestry. :)

Where is the column for weight in stone? ;)

Persomally I prefer KAP 5E SIZ table (page 177) because it doesn't flatten. From 1 to 10, multiply SIZ by 10 to find the correspondinf weight in lbs and thereafter each +1 SIZ add 10% so the weighly very roughly double every +7 SIZ.

As you can see, at low levels, it is very similar to the BRP table and it only diverge higher up.

Is there anywhere I can see, for example, the average height of a knight of a certain SIZ? Or do I just use one of those BMI tables with the weight and calculate backwards?

:) I suggest you go to several museums, measure and weigh each swet of armor, and find the stats thereby. ;D
