When is BoB 1.1 going to be released (roughly—not looking for a hard date, but a non-binding guesstimate only). Or have I missed it? Will there be an upgrade path for folks who have recently purchased the v.1 PDF?

Thanks,

T.

I dare not make such guesses as to date of release
Sorry

I don't know about the upgrade, but will check.

Ah, perhaps I can ask the question another way: How soon before the update is finished and sent off for production?

The reason I'm asking is because I'm culling through this forum ferreting out all of the errata, new rulings, and clarifications and capturing them in a coherent file. Would rather not do that if the release date is soonish (as in, the next few months). If I won't be able to purchase the update till next year, it's totally worth my time to cull through all this material.

I'm about to start learning how to run this system and I want to make sure my ruleset is as complete and mature as can be!

Thanks,

T.

The update has been finished for some time.
It is only up to production now.

Taliesin - I'm also looking forward to 1.1 but I think you'll find that 1.0 is robust enough to handle most of what it's designed for. I've played about 7 or 8 battles without any great problem, from the very small to fairly large. Like anything of such scope you're bound to face situations not fully covered in the rules, requiring some common sense on the spot decisions. I know I did.

In 1.1 I believe starting Intensity has changed, and some BI modifiers now apply to UI.

Well...I've been going through and annotating my digital copy with all the errata Greg has posted—and there's a lot of red ink! I've gone about half way through all the threads in this forum and have meticulously captured everything. Sounds like I should just finish that process. Hopefully I can get through it all this weekend.

I'm sure the game platform itself is fairly well-established but the devil's in the details. It's hard enough to learn and teach a system like this, without one's own comprehension being confounded by errors.

Greg, perhaps I could find a way to get this to you so you can do a final review of what you've sent to production...

Best,

T.

Will 1.1 be a separate product that we must buy, or an update? If I buy the 1.0 pdf, will I also get the 1.1 pdf?

Stewart has said this:
"At the time the new version is released, Nocturnal will send a coupon worth
a substantial discount toward the PDF of the new edition to everyone who has
bought the old PDF version. A smaller discount will be available to those
who wish to upgrade to the new print edition."
