Pendragon's strength as a game, comes from a variety of sources, including Greg's work (he's one of the all time great game designers),the epic scope, familar setting, and its low-magic level . However, that low level of magic, which in my opinion makes the game better, by removing the 'deus ex machina' that magic often overtakes many games, can make adapting published adventures from other sources difficult for a Pendragon GM.

While I realize that the GPC is a great campaign, and also leaves plenty of room for expansions, I often find what seem like very good adventure modules for other games that I'd like to run in Pendragon.

So my questions are this 1) What suggestions do you have for adapting non Pendragon adventures to Pendragon? 2) Are there any adventures or settings that are especially adaptable to use with Pendragon?

Two suggestions I've already received are Hârn which seems like a good sources since it's low magic, and Runequest which also seems like it would be good simply because it's written by Greg, but I'm largely unfamiliar with both of those settings. Does anyone know much about either?

I can recommend two that I have used in my campaign, both from Harn; 100 Bushels of Rye and The Earl's Progress. I changed the main monster in 100 Bushels to be a werewolf and mixed it with an old Call of Cthulhu Dark Ages adventure for my very 1st KAP game and it worked very well.

Earl's Progress I'm running right now. It's like a "road trip" adventure, following the earl and his entourage through the county. I've changed the journey to be from Salisbury to Cornwall, as well as changing names and places etc but I'm still using much of the printed text. It's a fan created freebie that you can download here; http://www.lythia.com/2008/01/earls-progress/

Dark Ages COC has some good, low level magic stuff. You can always alter the level of intrigue and supernatural to suit your taste.

I've not adapted material from other sources yet - taking forever to work through GPC as it is - but if I were I suspect that BRP / d100 materials would probably be fairly straightforward to adapt with the mechanical similarities.
