I'm brand new to Pendragon so I've likely missed some important things. I'd be very grateful for some help.

I am having difficulty understanding unconsciousness. It appears that there is a threshold based on HP/4. Once a character reaches that number or drops below it, he will go unconscious. I don't understand the idea that more hit points causes you to go unconscious sooner. If a character had 24 hp, his threshold would be 6. If he had 28 hp, his threshold would be 7. Why does having more hp cause you to go unconscious sooner?

But it doesnt.. going from 24 to 6 takes 18hp damage, while going from 28 to 7 takes 21hp damage, so the 28 guy can take more damage before falling unconscious.
Also the higher HP guy also has a better chance of surviving combat because he will less likely go under 0HP... (because he has more 'safety margin').
Pendragon tends to look more at damage inflicted instead of HP left..
[Afterall major wounds are not determined at HP left, but by amount damage received]

Thank you for the clarification. I thought that might be the idea behind it.
