Hi folks,

Sorry if this has been covered before.

The Spectre King concerns the rising from the dead of King Hengest, who was killed by Duke Eldol of Gloucester around 470 (the date is not entirely clear), Spectre King page 18.

KAP 5.1 page 49 however does not mention Hengest's death around this time (469-472 refers to Hengest as residing in Kent, but not being killed).

In GPC page 52, Ulfius then refers to Hengest as having died in his bed, this is in 491.

Is the Hengest from The Spectre King the same Hengest as referenced in KAP/GPC?

If not, then I assume that the KAP/GPC Hengest timeline is now canon, so what then of The Spectre King, is this scenario now defunct? Have I missed something here?

Cheers!

Yes
There is no KAP canon
There is already so much information available that no one can play it all in one campaign
Even GPC is only a broad outline upon which to hang YOUR campaign
Details like when Hengest dies or was killed are flexible
it depends entirely upon the needs and twists of your campaign
because it is fantasy
a game
and the only canons in it wear funny clothes
or turn up in the attack upon Camelot :)

That made me chortle :D

Thanks and I will simply use the Eldol sequence of events, as I have never run the Spectre King and would like to do so later... should our fledgling campaign make it that far.

Cheers!
