Hey there folks!

I'm wondering if anyone here could help me identify an adventure, and which supplement it's in, presuming it wasn't just made up.

It was run for me a couple years back, and, according to my character sheet was the "Adventure of the M Troll" no idea what the M stood for, but it involved going down to a neighbouring county to help a lord whose manor was being plagued by a troll. At the manor there was a family sword above the fireplace that my character eventually nicked to fight the troll that attacked the manor (there were some personality trait requirements to wield the sword I remember), and there was a Saxon warrior-woman called Ekta.

I'd ask my GM but he has long moved away. . . .

Sounds like the adventure of the marsh troll, from the Saxons! book.

Sounds like a good bet, that's a 4th edition book, aye?

EDIT: I've been looking through it but don't seem to be finding any trace of it. . . . Quite perplexing really!

Could you drop me a page number or something, apparently I'm fubling my Awareness rolls. :P

That would be the reason then, does anyone know what supplement it might in, if it is even in one?

I don't think my GM made any adventures himself, just used materials he had from the books and online, so I must imagine that it is written down somewhere.

I'm not needing it immediately, but I was thinking it would be a nice adventure to use, with a few tweaks, during the Anarchy period. :)

Sorry, X. I've done a Google Search as well as a search of my own local drive, where I've archived lots of PENDRAGON material scavenged from different online sources. Can't find a "marsh troll" adventure. That's not to say it's not "out there" somewhere, but I've come up empty-handed.

I don't see any adventures with troll in the title. I took a quick look through all the books and (what I believe is a complete group of) the magazines with Pendragon articles. I know of a couple tournament modules that exists, but they also aren't about trolls.

Maybe my GM did come up with that adventure by himself, but I'm a bit doubtful, maybe I'll see if I can get in touch with him, but he seems to have gone dark since he moved away. . . .

Sounds a bit like a compression/selection of bits from K Kerr's "Adventure of the Dolorous Wyrm". That was published in _Savage Mountains_.

It features a giant and a sword that is associated with a trait.

Aye, some similarities, though it didn't have a dragon, and the sword needed someone to have a certain level of proud and energetic to be able to wield it, from what I recall.

It was a very Saxon-orientated adventure, which was unusual as we had had very little contact with them except as enemies, which is why I feel it must be an actual adventure somewhere.

Well could be a GM-created adventure that just appears similar to some of the published work. I recall an article on trolls a long time back that mentioned that they probably came over to Logres with the Saxons and thus were only generally (if ever) seen near areas settled by Saxons.

Thus my one campaign having an adventure where the PKs had to cross a river in Malahaut. And the local ferry was run by a troll who didn't take money since he could not easy spend it. So they paid for passage in pack rouncys.
