What's new in the 2nd edition of the Book of the Manor? Are the other Book of... titles in 2nd ed also? Is there an update available for those of us who have the 1st edition?

Just got my 2e, not sure yet about all the changes.

Some tables are different (less evil), the cost of some buildings seems a little different, there are some minor problems with the formatted text, but the text is mostly the same.

Please define "less evil." Would you say it's worth the $20 for the upgrade?

You see, I'm brazilian and for the taxes here I actually paid almost $30 USD on it :) But anyway, as for almost any pendragon material, if you own the old book and are happy with it, you don't actually *need* to buy the new ones.

The rules didn't chanced that much, the book is only easier to read and have a better organization overall, with all the tables in the end for quick access. I didn't noticed any new buildings nor any significant changes (one of my players pointed me that religious buildings now have income and some minor improvements). There are better explanations on how you get glory and income.

The book is almost 20 pgs longer than the old one, so there is some new material, I just wasn't able to find it yet.

For the "less evil" part, if I remember well there was a possibility to lose all your income of a year with a Calamity roll, and most of secondary die rolls are now fixed values. If you have several manors, it's easier to administrate it.

I thought the currently available editions at rpgnow were just reprints (except for the covers). Is that incorrect? Has something changed with one or all of them?

They are not just reprints.
The new book is almost 20 pages longer than the 1st edition one.
There is a few new constructions, price alteration, some errata, some expansion on rules... unfortunately I don't have my books right now, but I can tell you the changes are minor, but you have more content.

I particularly like the 2nd edition better than the 1st one, but I don't believe most would agree the changes are well worth of a new book.

I'm hesitant to pay $20 for a pdf of the new book when it's mostly the old book, but I'd gladly pay $5 or $10 for an update.

In my case I have a hardcopy of the BotM purchased before they were available on pdf. Which I'm pretty sure is 1st Ed. We've been supplementing it with the new improvements when they were revealed, but are not fully using all the changes since we don't know what they all are.

I'm in the same boat, and I think a lot of us here on the boards are the same.

The problem with this is that I did not keep a copy of everyone who bought my versions.
However, Nocturnal keeps proper records, and in the future if there is a revised edition they WILL provide updated pdfs for anominal fee.
Will someone with the new version tell us if there is a section in the new version of changes to the edition?
(I don't have my own nearby).

I don't want to speak for RPG Now of Drive-thru RPG, but it should be a relatively trivial thing for them to issue coupon codes for discount to those people whose purchase history they can verify. After setting up such a discount code (easy) they would advertise it on the site with the description of the new product and ask the buyer to contact customer service requesting the code. A customer service rep would check their order history and confirm they own the older version, then email the discount code. If their system is smart enough they could write some pretty simple code to automate this process without human intervention—in fact, I'd e surprised if they don't have something like this in place.

Nocturnal just needs to contact them and enquire about setting it up. It's a great idea.

They do hae this in place for their own products
however, no such thing exists for the copies that I sold before working with Nocturnal

Very good to know. Is it just BoM that has been updated to a 2nd edition? Or have BoB, BoA, and BoKL also been updated?

So far, just that
BATTLE will be corrected, and the Battle Size modifier removed
KNIGHTS & LADIES has been corrected, and reorganized slightly so that it will match an upcoming product, BoGRANDFATHERS
ARMIES hasn't been touched, since the corrections in it are so minor--or at least, I've not gotten significant corrections

What is BoGRANDFATHERS? I haven't heard mention of this before...
