View Full Version : Automatic BoM Economic resolution for MapTools

So, I've created a MapTools macro to automatically resolve the step 4 of the Winter Phase from BoM.
It will roll all the dice you need and check most of the tables (I'm yet to figure out a way to include the property destruction table), giving you the end results only. All you need to input is a few strings of data like, which you can easily have saved as a token in MapTools. I am able to resolve economic factors for the 20+ manors belonging to my players in just a second.
I'm thinking of expanding it to Family Rolls as well, but in this case there is little need for it.

Yup, it's in a silly macro language, I would rather have done it in Python or such but we play using maptools and my players are the kind of suspicious bastards that never trust the GM to roll anything for them.

I'm not sure if it can be posted here since it uses a table from BoM in the source code, but let me know.

I'd like to post it on the KAP web page, with your permission.

It would be fantastic :)

The file is attached on this post. It's a campaign file that can be loaded in MapTools (you can get it at http://rptools.net/).

There is a Single Token on the map (a die). It's a manor template, you can double click on it to edit and read the instructions. You can Copy and paste the token for each manor you have, and adjust their values.

It's not the best option but since a few of us use Maptools for our games, it may be helpful.

Also, I'm not a native english speaker, so let me know if there is need of any corrections or modifications.

Not being familiar with Maptools, how do I get this to work?

Open Map tools, load the Campaign and you will see a token on the screen. If not, zoom out untill you see.
Double click it and then there will be instructions

Thanks. Do you mind telling me what escondido, caido inspirado, morto, inconsciente, ferimento grave, and ferimento mortal mean? I tried Google translate, but the results weren't very helpful.

NB I don't speak spanish, but at an educated guess,

morto, - Dead
inconsciente, - Unconscious
ferimento grave, - Major Wound
ferimento mortal - Mortal Wound

Actually it's portuguese, but those have nothing to do with the Manor system :)

But yes, those are correct. Also, Caido -> Fallen.

That would explain why I couldn't get an accurate translation from Spanish or Italian.
