I just received an email from Nocturnal, that the Book of the Entourage is coming soon. What is it?

See my announcement in "Word from Camelot"
It is just the first of many items that are all damn close to completion, to fill that void of products which has reigned
The"Word from Camelot" post implies that the book is now available.
Is it?
If So, Where?

I know you've also mentioned a Book of Uther and a Book of the Baron, Greg. What are the different topics for these books (or is there a place where this is mentioned)? I get the impression Uther is a detailed gazetteer of the GPC starting era Britain, while Book of the Baron (finally!) outlines the various high ranks of Arthurian Britain and rules for higher-ranked play.
Which one is probably coming out next after Book of the Entourage?

I know you've also mentioned a Book of Uther and a Book of the Baron, Greg.
In my never-ending effort to my fans guessing I have altered these slightly
What are the different topics for these books (or is there a place where this is mentioned)?
No place yet
I would rather spend my limited time working on product instead of announcements
and it is three books
each of which addresses one of the strata of nobility
hopefully to answer the same questions for each of the
such as which officers are in each household
and what issues are critical to them
I get the impression Uther is a detailed gazetteer of the GPC starting era Britain, while Book of the Baron (finally!) outlines the various high ranks of Arthurian Britain and rules for higher-ranked play.
Book of ESTATE: Basically at the level of a banneret, or a weak baron--income of £100
Book of WARLORDS: Essentially £300 of income
Book of UTHER: For our beloved Pendragon of the early phase
Since it's unlikely a player knight will become king, this also emphasizes how to be one of his officers
Which one is probably coming out next after Book of the Entourage?
I have not turned these in yet to the final editing process, so don't hold your breaths
But in the order above: Estate, Warlords, Uther
The long-term plan is to later release some follow up books for the Arthurian phases, where things get a bit better for everyone
Book of the BARON: who replace Warlords
Book of KING ARTHUR: who replaces Uther, of course
This is because social conditions change in later times, with new problems and issues for the vassals
so that you players will understand why some of them might undertake to exercise the baronial "right of rebellion"
against so perfect a lord as our dear King Arthur
After than I will turn to the Book of MAGICIANS, which is so tantalizingly close to being done already, but reluctantly ignored because I cannot properly concentrate on more than one thing at a time
I've got others simmering too, but dare not mention their names
I have stuck my neck out far enough already! :)
There was mention earlier of GPC expansion that would cover the era before Uther's reign (Aurelius Ambrosius etc.). I had hoped the Book of the Grandfather would be that book, but from the description that doesn't appear so (although the BoG does sound very interesting). Is such a project still in the works and if so does it have a name?

Well, it would be called the Book of Ambrosius
but it is not in the works :(
If someone wants to write it, though, contact me!

Thanks Greg for keeping up the awesome work and letting me distract you with my announcement questions!

So was that an actual project that has been put on hiatus or was it just my misunderstanding? Was it related to the Book of the Cavalrymen?
In any case thanks for all the work you do making and expanding Pendragon.

I thought it was a project, but I misunderstood what had been done

You are welcome
Thanks for your patience

I was, possibly mistakenly, under the impression that there was something in the works regarding simple cavalrymen working their way and becoming knights. Was that an idea that might someday lead to project, an actual project, or just my misunderstanding?

OK, thanks
It's not a book at this stage, but merely a mention in the Book of UTHER, which I have extracted below
Knights and Cavalry
In this book the historical process of knighthood is still beginning. Knights are still an innovation, whereas cavalry are the common pool of mounted warriors from whom the knights will be drawn. The first few games are pretty brutal and players are recommended to have two or three starting characters. Whoever among them survives qualify for knighthood.
The difference between knighthood and cavalry is the terms of loyalty. Knights swear homage, which is an oath of permanent bond between a lord and follower. All other loyalties are fealties, which are temporary, as to the general of an army of combined counties; or may be voluntarily ended by either party, following traditional methods of doing so. The traditional manner is to make an announcement in the lord’s court, and then to return whatever equipment the lord provided.
Note that I have chosen to use the word "cavalry" rather than "milites."

In the past year or so I've come to realize the vast number of people who speak English as second language so I'm glad to see the use of easily understood English terms like cavalry.
So now that I know the book I'm most looking forward to how long will I have to wait?

It is in production now, last I heard in layout
but I am afraid I can do no better than that

So, you've already written it, and it's just a matter of getting it laid out etc?!?! That is far better news than I had expected...
