View Full Version : The Levy
Hi,
Does the +5/-5 modifier for being in a homeland represent the calling out of the levy?
Using the KV principle from older books the levy seems to have a KV of 1/25 and given that a Knight might have 100 of them they would actually make quite a difference just by weight of numbers.
Thanks in advance for any opinions.

It more represents familiarity with the ins and outs of local terrain: good places from which to attack and defend, the ease of maintaining supply lines, etc.

That's interesting take, I just woulda thought it's the defender's advantage — you know that if you lose, not only may you lose your life, but your women will be raped, your villages razed, and your chattel carried off—not that these are mutually exclusive with knowing the local terrain, etc.

That's where Passions come in. Duty. Honor. Loyalty. Love. Much larger bonus, potentially, but greater risk as well. What if your Passion fails you? What if you fail whilst under your Passion's influence? Of such things are memorable moments made.
