For anyone who has played the GPC to completion (or even most of the way), do you have a list of Salisbury NPCs that you would be willing to share? The book provides some key starting characters and I've some others in mind, but if anyone has a slate of characters, I would be happy to use that - particularly new and other knights who appear as the game goes on.

Hi.

My 'sin' as a GM is that I am lazy (and busy with work). I rarely if ever have the inclination to detail all the NPCs that my players might meet. But neither did I want them to be carbon copies of one another. So I made a little piece of code that rolled up some NPC knights for me to use. See this thread http://nocturnal-media.com/forum/index.php?topic=1162.0 for more details.

Jesper took my code and made it more accessible by making it web-compatible. You can access the Knight Generator here: http://enora.dk/pendragon/knight/knights.asp .

So nowadays if I need a knight, I tend to roll up a few, pick out the one that 'fits' (I might want someone who is a bit of a bastard, so I might pick out the one who has some bad trait, but is not all bad, or I might want a knight who is of certain age), and then whip up a quick background based on those stats.

I did use that code to roll up a dozen or so NPKs to populate some manors on the Levcomagus side, to act as foils and opponents for the Player characters. That was an interesting exercise. If you wish, I can share that list and my GM notes with you? It would be easy enough to translocate them to Salisbury manors instead.

Here's a roster I put together of all the Salisbury knights at the beginning of the Anarchy. It should not be taken as official in any shape, matter or form. I found it was helpful to have a convenient reference like this for all kinds of reasons. I don't know if it will be helpful to you at all, but you can download it here. If you're looking for a complete list of NPCs from Salisbury, there are a few sources.

From the Fifth Edition (and 5.1) we have:

Earl (Count) Roderick
Countess Ellen
Roderick's daughter Jenna (born in 484)
Roderick's heir Robert (removed in 5.1 as he hasn't been born in 485)
Sir Elad the Marshall
Sir Hywel the Banneret of *West Lavington
Sir Hywel's unnamed, underage daughter
Sir Amig of *Tilshead (the Marriage of Count Roderick makes him the County Daupifier)
Sir Jaradan the Swordsman
Lady Adwen
Lady Adwen's father Sir Bles (dead by 485, but he's probably still alive in the new start date of 480)
Lady Elaine (note that under the revision to the heiresses, she's the daughter of an adultress with a murderous paramour, not one herself - her father, like Sir Bles, might still be alive in 480)
Lady Gwiona
Lady Indeg (may not yet be a widow in 480)
Bishop Roger
Father Tewi (Roderick's chaplain)
Sir Blaines of Levcomagus (not from Salisbury, but serves an important role as a local antagonist)
Also, every PK apparently has the same personal chaplain, Father Brugyn - in the Marriage of Count Roderick, Brugyn is mentioned as an abbot, presumably retconing this (likely for players who want to fine tune their entourage, especially if they're playing pagans).
Oh, and Old Garr, the village priest of *Imber

From the GPC:
The GPC briefly mentions three knights who are intended to fill out small parties in the Uther period - calm Sir Leo, hotheaded Sir Lycus, and reserved Sir Bar. Sir Leo and Sir Lycus also show up near the start of the Anarchy debating over whether authority should be transferred to Ellen.

Roderick and Elad are revealed to die at the Infamous Feast, and it's likely the NPKs introduced below died there as well or at the previous battle.

From the Marriage of Count Roderick:
The MoCR mentions a few new members of Roderick's court - Sir Rufon the Seneschal, Sir Nidian the Constable, Sir Jarran the Castellan of Du Plain, Sir Hyfaidd the Castellan of Borders/Devises, Sir Kenian, and Abbot Moriad, who are all potential representatives of the Count when he's courting for a bride (along with Elad, Amig, and Brugyn).

It should be noted that 4th Edition Pendragon also has an overview of Salisbury - but the Salisbury of 531, not 485. They're listed below (sticking with the place names and terms 4th Edition used):

Earl Robert
Robert's heir Sir Gondrins
Sir Yolains, Castellan of Devizes
Sir Jaradan the Marshall
Sir Briadanz the Hunter
Sir Magloas, Castellan of Du Plain
Countess Katherine, Lady of White Horse Vale
Lady Orlande of Devizes (daughter of Sir Yolains)
Lady Gaille of Wilton (four times (!) widowed)
Lady Jeanne of Broad Chalke
Lady Anne of Longcot (Longcot is in White Horse Vale, not Salisbury)
Lady Madule of the Raven Hair (presumed sorceress)
Madule's unnamed, deceased father, the Banneret of West Lavington (I doubt this is Sir Hywel given Madule is a "young woman" in 531)
Old Garr, still priest of Imber
The characters from the Adventure of the White Horse (The Knight of the Old Way, Father Peter, and Dame Paulette)
The unnamed Steward of Levcomagus, whose brothers Roderick killed in combat

EDIT 5/29/17: So I was looking through the 5.2 rulebook and saw that one character's name had been changed. Sir Jaradan has been changed to Sir Jarren, probably to avoid the implications of Salisbury's 530s Marshall being in his late seventies.
