The Book of Battle explicitly states that knights who fail to be inspired when they make a passion roll in a battle become melancholy. Obviously, fumbling a passion roll would qualify as failing to be inspired.
Is this ruling in the BoB meant to override the normal rules for madness that result when a player fumbles a passion? I can see the logic in that; I had two players fumble passion rolls in the first charge, which would have made for two bored players for the rest of the night.
If players can still in fact be driven mad by fumbled passions, can a fellow knight in their unit (or the unit commander) attempt a "snap out of it" roll while the battle is raging around them?
