Can anyone recommend a site/resource for referencing villages/towns in the Pendragon era?
Modern Google maps wasnt good enough for my needs, my Father-in-law has found alot of information around Doomsday and some information mentioning Saxons.
Also as an aside, where can I find information on Offices of the Lord? I have seen Marshall and Sheriff mentioned but do not know their roles etc.
Thanks in advance. Take care Dalfort.
Edit: Found the Doomsday Map link in a post further down, that looks great.

The official source of occupied places is the Domesday Book.
I find http://domesdaymap.co.uk/ to be a source for what exists, and roughtly whee it is.
I'm just finishing up a rather exhausting work that also uses http://maps.familysearch.org/#search to locate the places more precisely.
My work will appear in the future.

I am just about finished with the Book of the ESTATE that will answer all these questions.
Sorry to make you wait.
In the meantime, http://faculty.history.wisc.edu/sommerville/123/123%20133%20government.htm provides some information
It is not all accurate for KAP, but it's a darn good start

Fabulous, I dont know of any other game system that is fortunate enough to receive such a high level of support from its creator. My heart felt thanks for your prompt answer, I look forward to getting the BoE when its ready :)
We have started our game, the PKs all survived the Battle of Colchester and we ventured into a Winter phase where my eldest son managed to marry whoever Earl Roderick suggested and has gained a Manor. His wife will unfortunately die in child birth of their Daughter.
I set the players some homework to come up with names for their Town/Villages but thought it best to cover them (you know what players can be like :P ). Thats when I discovered the difficulty of finding (semi)accurate information.
Thanks again,
Take care Dalfort

If you are playing in Salisbury. I still find the maps of Thijs Krijger very good. Also a good source for manor names if you are not playing in Salisbury.

Cheers thanks for that, I didnt realise I had been away so long... the pitfalls of playing too much Bloodbowl :p
I ran the second instalment of the GPC and it went perfectly, only question that arose was one of being on horseback against the (small) giant. I allowed the PKs to have +5 but didnt apply a -5 to the giant. No-one complained so it must have been right :)
