Greg, I would like to thank you for the new starting-squire creation rules in the Book of Knights and Ladies.

Playing a squire is providing a new perspective: not *being* the knight you dream of being but seeing what one has to do to *become* that. Given the limited character points, it?s a real challenge to figure out how to earn the skill levels needed to be a well-rounded warrior and not just a thug (?I?m starting with Sword-11 but only Courtesy-5, better volunteer for some extra duties to earn experience checks there too ??). But then, if knighthood weren?t a challenge, it wouldn?t be such a special thing.

Glad you like it.
I have always felt that the journey is more important than the prize.
Some people want everyone to begin as a Round Table knight, but my own material for the game does not assume this.
This is another step on that "becoming" sory.
Keep us informed.
