Greetings all

I run a non-canon, anachronistic mishmash 1st edition Pendragon (with House rules) play-by-post campaign. We are just finishing 494 AD, and I have an opening for a player in both my Logres campaign, and my Cameliard campaign. All the editions are fairly similar, so don't worry about not knowing the rules.

If you are interested in checking it out, go to http://makofan.proboards.com and feel free to browse the posts. Shoot me a PM (or post here) if you decide you would like to participate

Hi Makofan..

I've just re-discovered Pendragon and found this forum. If you are still looking for new players I would be very interested.

I have played Pendragon on-line before (a few years ago), but I'm happy to be considered a newbie :)

I've written much the same response on Barrow's "Re: Beginner PbP?" thread here as well. I would only be able to commit to one game, but I'm not sure who is still looking.

Regards
Andy

Would be great to have you! I have filled the Logres spot, but the Cameliard spot is still open. Just go register on the boards, and I will slot you in. We are wrapping up 494 AD, and then we can create your character during the 495 Winter Phase

Our Silchester-based campaign has an opening for a knight

It is 496 and Uther and many nobles are dead, as are many Saxons. The players have mustered a force to head into the Forest Sauvage after a dangerous group of bandits.

Please reply here if interested in giving it a whirl

I'm interested in this, that is if experience with 1st ed is not essential. Is there still a space?

No experience necessary, and would LOVE to have you. All the games are basically the same, just the details differ in tiny ways. 1st edition has lower skill levels and less money.

If you head over to my board and create an account, I will check tonight and validate your membership, and we'll get a character rolled up.

I'd be interested in giving it a try.
Must say that I'm a fan. I've read about half of your excellent Verbosh campaign on odd74. I'll never forget the hobbit tied to a rope going down a well knocked unconscious by the flying torch in the sewers ;)

Wow - that is a blast from the past! I have activated your account on proboards, but I am going to assign you to Cameliard. I'll start character gen today

I am interested in participating. I registered for an account on the forum, pending approval. Whenever a spot opens, I'd like to join whichever campaign could use a new player.

Awesome - I will approve it - Logres or Cameliard?

Logres for me please.

Good. Helps me to decide between two good options. I'll take Cameliard then.

If you're still accepting applications, I would like to join in the fun.

I'll take any open slot, but with a preference for Logres.

Right now I have two full groups of 6; if you don't mind being on a waiting list, I can let you know when there is an opening. I expect to lose a player in the next month or two.

Okay, that works for me.

Hello,

I would also be very interested in joining in the fun :)

I've always been the GM, and I would kill to play in a Pendragon game for once :)

Would spending a few Libra worth of GM flattering and adoring help my case up the "heritage" ladder? :)

That would be Arbitrary, and I have a Just 16

Wow! Thanks. I didn't realize I had an audience. I've been having a lot of fun on Sir Graid's adventure.

Finally got my hands on 1st edition (or will in a few days), so would love to play in this should an opening arise...

Hi Kilgs

I imposed a 6-player limit (I prefer 4-player, but hate turning people away) per campaign, and both my campaigns are at the max. We're approaching the end of Year 497 and it looks like everybody will be back for 498. I can post here if an opening arises, but I would doubt there will be one before the fall. Let me know I you still want to be on the list.

Yes please, I could see you were full up but figured I'd toss my hat in the ring for the future. Please let me know if an opening pops up! It's a great read!

So, what's wrong with the forum?

To all my players

I have decided I do not want to start again and have a forum shut me down or censor me at their whim. I plan to host my own website and domain and forum, and then I have total control of my content. Unfortunately, that is not likely to happen in the next few months - it is a next year plan

Therefore, the campaign is over. I am sorry, but hope you enjoyed your taste of the game. I thought we had some epic times, especially the sinking of Cantrev y Gwaenoddd, the Battle of Tintagel, and the thread of Sir Catianus and Ygraine

Please let me know if you would like me to contact you if I start up a site again

I enjoyed the time I spent on that forum. I was looking forward to the climax of the latest quest. Successful play-by-posts are rare. You should be proud of what you accomplished with that game. I can only imagine what a disappointment it is for you, losing all of that content. It really sucks.

How do play by post games work? Even is it is just to point me to an online FAQ or decent example, I would appreciate any info. This sound intriguing.

Sorry to reply so late. Extremely sad about how ProBoards treated you Mako.
Your game was stellar and I had lots of fun playing it.

Contact me when/if you restart something.
