Topic: Do you have some new information about the following Places?
I have players who use or want to use The Following!
Huntington both Shire and Shire towne with the ancient citie ely described. we found a map but we can't find much info on it
http://www.bergbook.com/images/23420-01.jpg I have a lady friend who plays the noble daughter of the Earl and wants more info?
Hereford Shire I use this and the Forest of dean as a good starting point Greg to run the Adventure of the Land of Circle of Gold.
and or any more info then what wikipedia has on Emain Orial a friend wants to set up a pagan realm for the game and wants to use this for her back drop kingdom with her character being the head priestess of this new realm.
Ely is an excellent place for adventure that my players somehow spurned a few sessions ago... I had done some research on it that ended up not being used.
It was a genuine island among the Anglian Fens about 20 miles North East of Cambridge. A Roman Road used to run from Cambridge to it (and possibly beyond) but that appears to have failed at some time. By Norman times access seems to have been by boat, the River Cam runs up to it, joins with the Ouse and then onwards out to sea so it's a port town too. Hereward the Wake sought refuge here after his rebellion against William the Conquerer, that lead to William building causeways across the Fens to reach it.
So you've got marshy Fens, mist, hidden paths and trackways and a history of warfare. As said an excellent place for adventure... Look into Hereward the Wake for lots of ideas and old maps of the causeways and such.

IMG I have placed Sir Hervis de Revel in the Hereward role during the Anarchy, leading a community of Icenic exiles at Ely and using it as a base for raiding against the Anglish invaders.

I have placed the Adventure of the land of the circle of gold their in Hereford near the forest of dean and use as my kingdom base thier. They also fight against the Anglish Saxons and Bandits as well. That is what I used as my starting point their. You can find the adventure in The following books if u can find them I still have mine and chairish them to this day.
CHA2706, Tournament of Dreams (1987) 1st edition rules
GK2723, Tales of Mystic Tournaments (2000) This was an updated version of the adventure and included new feasting with hospitality, dream magic, among other new tournament 4th edition rules.

Nice touch!
In my campaign I have Saxons playing the role of Hereward during the reign of King Arthur
