How much glory are each of these opponents worth? No glory award is listed in my 5.1 book, appendix 2.

Here's the information you want: http://www.gspendragon.com/1glory.html Got dropped out of the books by mistake.

Although it doesn't mention Saxon warrior and Beserker by name, I'd follow the advice here:
Combat Against Inferior Foes
These are all non-knight enemies: bandits, squires, foot soldiers, sergeants, etc.
Glory = total of all the skills used by an average enemy (Axe, Lance, Riding, etc.).
Typically 10-45 points.
and adapt as you see fit.

Inferior foes, huh? Oh, the irony...
Last knight, one of my PKs was slain by a lowly saxon warrior who scored a critical hit against him.
But I understand the point. Just funny timing. :)

I use the older 4th ed Glory Awards, available from Greg's page here: http://www.gspendragon.com/missingglory.html
As you can see, the Saxon Raider is 35 Glory and while there is no Berserker in there, I would put one at least at 100 mark. Possibly more, depending on the prowess and implied fame of the Berserker.
And I do agree with the point that the Saxon warriors in the appendix are much much more dangerous enemies than young knights in that same appendix of the rule book.
4d6, armor 10 vs. 5d6+1d6 axe, armor 6? I know which one I'd rather meet on the battlefield... Granted, the young knight might have 6d6 lance attack, and the PK might get +5/-5 from being on horseback against the Raider, which makes it a much easier fight. But both enemies on foot? Young Knight is much easier.

I treated saxon berserks as regular Saxons for glory (unless they were also chieftans or kings).
A saxon is a saxon and berserking is just a state of mind. :P
In hindsight perhaps I was a little unkind. I might go with at least 50 glory in future. Berserks have settled for two PKs so far in this GPC.

Except when it isn't. A cymri is a cymri and being a knight is just a matter of having better stats, skills and armor. :P
If the 'berserk' is simply a Saxon warrior who is using the uncontrolled attack tactic, then sure, he is not worth anything extra. However, if he is this hulking SIZ 21+ killing machine, then yeah, you get extra glory for him, since he is clearly an exceptional enemy and it makes a better story. :)

You're definitely right. I was mean to my players.
