Good gentles,

I've just bought the Book of the Estate and am enjoying it -- both the simplification of the financial system without over-simplifying, and the information on larger estates.

But I do have a question: On page 80, the entry for "Ditch and Rampart" says "A palisade is usually erected atop the rampart. Note: A palisade requires at least one Gate."

However, the entry for "Gate, Normal" says "All fortifications need a gate ..." -- and gates subtract from DV.

So -- does a ditch and rampart without a palisade need a gate? If so, this becomes an Errata and you may wish to change that note.

Thank you very much.

Yes, it still needs a gate.
