Hey all,
A couple of years ago I began a KAP campaign set in Cameliard in 485, with the player knights serving as vassals to King Leodegrance. Needless to say it was a lot of fun and I was sad to see the game draw to a close in 499. Fortunately, my group has agreed to get back to it, and so with a few additional resources now (Book of the Estate, etc) I'm planning 500 onwards.
I've started by sending the player knights down as emissaries of Leodegrance to assist King Nanteleod in subduing Estragales. The plan is to have them accompany Nanteleod over the next few years as he rises to greater power in Cambria, only to face bitter defeat at his side (but hopefully not die horrible deaths). From there it's on to the Boy King period and great Glory beside Leodegrance and others.
Over the years I've sketched together what I could for details of Staffordshire/Cameliard and its lands. I've been reading today about plans for a Great Pendragon Map, and I would really like to see what additional material (beyond GPC, and Savage Mountains) there exists for Cameliard, Cambria, King Nanteleod, Gomeret, and Norgales. I especially would love to grab some sources for the hundreds that make up Staffordshire, the better to use for player manors and estates, as well as some clarification on who rules in Cambria during the Anarchy and Boy King periods.
I've already made some adjustments to the canon, mostly because I am a huge fan of Ganeida, Merlin's sister. She and her prophesies figured strongly up until 497 when Guinevere (and Ginevre/False Guinevere) were born, at which point her foresight vanished. I do plan to bring her back in later, especially as a counterpart or equivalent to various Ladies of the Lake and/or Merlin.
