I had fun running an intro Pendragon game at GENCON last year. I just discovered that my schedule will allow me to attend this year as well, so I am about to start the process of buying my badge and submitting events.

Is anybody else planning to run sessions at GENCON? We should probably synchronize our efforts so we aren't all running at the same time.

I'd love to join you, but sadly am over the other side of the ocean in the UK! I hope however that you have a great time and are able to find others to promote this fantastic game!

Thanks. Last year there were three Pendragon games at GENCON (including mine). Two of them were scheduled at the same time, which seemed unfortunate to me.

I just submitted my event for 2014. "Introduction to Pendragon - Character Creation and First Quest" for 6pm on Thursday evening.

I will not be able to attend this year unfortunately.

I understand the disappointment about the two Pendragon games at the same time last year, but my friend Templar and I were being selfish :) We are both the only GM of all of our home games with our group and we never get to just be players in the same game. We had already filled out schedules with games we both could play in, so we ran our Pendragon games at the same time. The good news is that in doing it that way, we got more unique individuals in a game of Pendragon! We even had to turn folks away because we had full tables. I hated to do that, but overcrowded games can be miserable. There is clearly a demand for Pendragon games, so I hope more people are able to run them.

I hope to back in 2015, but it looks like it may be 2016 before I can return. However, I will be running Pendragon when I make it back! I'll post it here so folks can be on the lookout, but the way the event tickets are handled makes it tough to get into a game.

I'll be at GenCon as well. I note that Greg Stafford is a guest of honor this year, maybe we can get HIM to run a game :)

I deeply regret I cannot make a promise about that
Last year I cancelled out because I has some major heart surgery
I am still recovering from that
I would like, but I cannot promise to
and, as last year, anyone who GMs a KAP game has dibs in if I do run one

Totally understandable, Greg. Your health comes first.

If it is possible, however, I would love to at least meet you, shake your hand, thank you for the best RPG i have ever played, and perhaps get your autograph on my Pendragon rulebook. :)

That is why I am going.
I will be at the Moon Design booth. Look for the gigantic map of Gloranthas.
See you there!

Looks like there is a chance that I will be at Gen Con this year after all. It is still only a chance and it would just be there late Friday evening through early Sunday and I will also have my 9 year old daughter with me so I won't be able to run anything or play anything that she couldn't participate in but I get to get a few more signature at least!

Hi everyone. I just joined the group and first heard about KAP last December. I can't wait to run a game for my regular group. If anyone is doing any pickup games this year, please let me know. I can't make the Thursday 6:00 game because I will be running another game at that time. It would be great to meet Mr. Stafford in person.

Well, I don't know whether a game ever ended up coming together. but I do have some friends who'd like to play one. Friday would be our first choice, as our Thursday is all booked up.

My proposed game for Thursday 8pm is still languishing "pending approval."

Ah, well that time slot wouldn't work for us anyway, but I do hope you get some signups and can introduce some new folks to the game.

Seconded. I'll be there with my wife and some friends, and we're all Pendragon fans.

I now see an event for Pendragon which looks like an adventure where the players are squires. Sadly, it's in a conflict with another event I'm attending :(

However, it's got seats open, so whoever wants in should jump on it.

That's the game I'm running. It finally appeared in the event listing last week, and is already full.

It is intended to be an introduction to the game for brand-new players, running the introductory scenario straight out of the rulebook.

Come and find me before your games.
I am making arrangements with Stewart to have something for all the players.
It'll be a pdf of something...

Sounds great! The Pendragon game I'm running is Thursday at 8PM. I'll see you at the mythology seminars before that.

I sat in on Mr. Stafford's seminar on Saturday and was honored to meet him in person. He is a class act and a credit to the hobby as a whole. Hopefully we can see more KAP on the event listings for 2015.

We're working on a transcript of a couple of Greg's seminars and will post them on is website and probably here as soon as they're ready.

Best,

T.

That's great news - I saw a few hints about Kickstarter etc on Google+ and would love to know what was actually said.

I completely forgot to go and say hello to you amid all the chaos of GenCon, Greg. I am kicking myself.

I hope I'll get the chance next year, if you plan to attend.

I will be running a game next year. You should consider running one as well, that is the best way to increase the count!
