As new armour becomes available how much does it cost?

The 4th Edition KAP book, set about 530, has:
Normain Chain - 180d
Reinforced Chain - 4£
Partial Plate - 10£

So might it be fair to say that the "current normal" armour is 4£, the previous era's is 180d and early versions of the next armour are 10£?

I don't want to get too far into economics but some quick rules are handy, have any of the books ever covered this?

Thanks in advance,

Oly

Nope. An armor costs what it costs. Partial plate stays £10 to the end, and Full Plate and Gothic Plate are even more expensive.

As far as I know, this is the only, currently published datapoint:

GPC, p. 311 in the Tournament Circuit Adventure:

"Rich knightly gear and steed in the middle of the Period is 16-point plate armor (£14), plus a Friesian (£32). This has a replacement cost of £46."

As it happens, I don't agree that 16-pt Full Plate should be only £14. I'd be happier with something like £20. But until there is a publication that gives a firm number (and even after), feel free to set your own number. Trust me, you will be happier that way. :)
