Hi ALl,

I'm a newbie to Pendragon for the most part, having only recently begun digging into it seriously, despite purchasing the Bundle of Holding offer for it a while back. I'm fascinated by the amount of work that's gone into the product, particularly the GPC, but not quite sure when I'll get to play it.

I'm writing here, though, because I happen to be totally blind. The maps which come with the books are not super useful for me—it's difficult to get a picture of Salisbury from the alphabetical gazetteer, and I don't find easily accessible info on travel times.

I wonder if anybody has made something which might be a bit more informative, or could do so? PDF in general is a pain in the neck to deal with, but if i have no other choice I'll read a book in it. Similarly, the interactive character sheets (Book of Records, etc.) are inaccessible to me because I can't tell which label goes with which form field, and in some cases I think the info I'm given by my scree reader is actually wrong.

Thanks for any help with either of these issues. :)

Hi zkline. How detailed information do you need? For major sites or including the 20 PK manors from the rulebook, too?

For the major sites, based on the map in p. 64 and assuming an average of 15 miles per day.

From Sarum, south to Dorchester, Dorset:
Third of a day to Ebble. Two-thirds of a day to Dorchester. Total: a day's travel to Dorchester.

From Sarum, west to Bath, Somerset:
Easy day's ride to Vagon. Another easy day's ride to Warminster. Then a hard day's ride to Bath. Total: about three days.

From Sarum, northwest to Devizes Castle:
North one third of a day to Amesbury Abbey. Northwest two thirds of a day to Tilshead, a town. Half a day north-northwest to Devizes Castle. A day and a half total travel time to Devizes Castle.

From Sarum, north to the town of Upavon:
North one third of a day to Amesbury Abbey. North two-thirds of a day to Upavon. From Upavon, you can continue west one half a day to Devizes Castle, or northeast one day's easy ride to Mildenhall.

From Sarum, north-east to Silchester:
A day's hard ride to Levcomagus, followed by another day's hard ride to Silchester. Given the enmity between Salisbury and Levcomagus, you might prefer the route below.

From Sarum, east to Camelot (earlier Venta Belgarum):
A day's ride to the castle of Caer Du Plain, on Salisbury's eastern border. Another day's ride to Camelot. From Camelot, a day's hard ride north-northeast to Silchester. Or a day's ride southwards to reach Hantonne (a port town).

From Sarum to Eburacum via Fosse way and Lincoln:
Go northwards to Cirencester, about 4 days' ride.
Continue along Fosse way north-northeast to Lambor, about 4 day's ride.
Continue northwest via Leicester (about day and a bit to Leicester) to Lincoln (about four days more).
Continue north-northeast five days to Eburacum.
Total travel time from Sarum to Eburacum: about 18.5 days, or close to three weeks.

From Sarum to Stafford, Cameliard:
Go via Cirencester and Lambor, 8 days to Lambor. Then about four days northwest to Stafford.
Total travel time: about 12 days, or a bit shy of two weeks.

From Sarum to Tintagel, Cornwall:
West to Warminster (2 days), then west to Shepton Mallet (a day and a bit), before turning southwest to Ilchester in Jagent (a day's hard ride) and continuing to Ilminster (a day's easy ride) and Exeter (2 days and a bit). From Exeter, west to Tintagel for 4 days.
Total travel time from Sarum to Tintagel Castle: About 11 days, or a week and a half.

From Sarum to Londinium:
Go first to Silchester, about three days and a bit via Camelot. Then two days east-northeast to Staines. Then about day and a half to Londinium.
Total travel time from Sarum to Londinium: Close to 7 days, so about one week.

Hope you will find this useful.

Hey, thank you! :) This is exactly the sort of info I'd hoped for.

I'm not very clear on where player manors are in relation to the major sites. Maybe I need to do a bit more reading. I guess it doesn't matter too much n reality, but… I suppose I'm kind of obsessive about using whatever information is available. :)

They tend to be all reasonably close to Sarum, within a day. Note that I am eyeballing the distances and rounding to nearest mile, in my mind, instead of googlemapping these.

East, towards Caer Du Plain:
Pitton about half a day's ride, halfway along the way.
Broughton almost next to Caer Du Plain, a day's ride away.

Southeast:
Laverstock about 2 miles or so from Sarum.
Falt another 2 miles from Laverstock, so about quarter of a day there from Sarum.

South, towards Ebble:
Chalke is first to Ebble, one third of a day, and then couple of miles southwest up Ebble River valley. Call it half a day from Sarum.

West-southwest:
First four miles or so to Wilton (walled town) and then west-ish along the the Naddar River.
Burcombe is one mile further along, Baverstock another three miles, Dinton a mile from that and Tisbury four miles. Altogether, about 13 miles so call it a day's ride.

West, towards Vagon, along the Wylye River:
About two miles to Newton, then three to Woodford, two to Steeple Langford (on the opposite bank) and another mile to so to Wylye manor (same bank as Woodford). Altogether, about half a day's ride.

Northwest from Sarum, north of Woodford manor, along a tributary of Wylye River:
Stapleford is about five miles west-northwest from Sarum, Berwick is a mile north and Winterbourne Stoke is another three miles north. Call it two thirds of the day.

North-northwest from Sarum:
Durnford, two miles from Sarum.

Northeast from Sarum, towards Levcomagus, along the Bourne River:
Winterbourne Gunnet about 4 miles away.
Idmiston another mile along.
Newton another four miles.
Cholderton is another two miles along.
Altogether, about 11 miles from Sarum, two thirds of the day.

Hope that helps!
