Llud's Hall is listed as a County/Sheriff's castle in the Uther Period Castles table in p. 118, the list of county castles on p. 9., and the map of county castles on p. 4.

The castle is mistakenly depicted as a Royal Castle (three flags) on the maps on p. 4 and 29. As a county/sheriff's castle it should have one flag.

We will fix it in the next update, but note this won't happen for quite awhile since we've fresher fish to fry! Certainly won't happen in 2015. We'll wait a good while to see if anything else comes in before issuing the next round of errata.

It's referred to as a Royal Castle in the text (p100), and one of the royal treasuries (the latter implying it's definitely more than just a Sheriff's castle). Are you sure the depiction on the map is the error?

Thanks for that. I've been discussing with Greg, but this brings more to the discussion! Stay tuned.

Okay, Llud's Hall is both a county castle AND a royal castle. Meaning it is the residence of the sheriff, but may be entered by the king at any time for any (or no reason). This is true of ALL county castles.

This was Greg's intention all along, but it cause mapmakers heartburn because I can't show it as having both three flags and one flag. So, for the purposes of depicting it on a map, it should be one flag.

The same is true of King's House in Linden. County castle (one flag).

Could something be done with the font to show a difference?

Italics, bold, outline, a flag in front of the name?
