Earl Robert of Salisbury according to his character sheet was born in 485 however in the christmas Court of 495 on pg 64 it says to explain the circumstances in Sarum: the Heir to the seat is 3a 3 year old boy, so his mother the countess will rule till he is grown. If this is Earl Robert of Salisbury then he should be 10 years old not 3 years old in 495.

Birth year 485 is incorrect.

Birth year 492 is correct. One big reason for it is that there is no way that Robert would still be grousing about the need to be knighted in 508-9, if he would have been born already in 485. But to knight a boy of 17? Now that might give a pause to many a knight, even if the boy is the next Count.

There is also a problem in Count Roderick's character sheet in GPC. It should say that they have one young daughter (Jenna) in 485, as noted in KAP 5.1, p. 55. Note that Robert is NOT mentioned in there; further evidence that he should be born in 492.
