For all who joined my last games, I am going to be starting up Pendragon again in the next few months, and welcome you back (or any new people).

Please chime in (or PM me) if you are interested

There will be for sure a GPC campaign, but I will probably offer some smaller scale campaigns for those who don't want to play the whole 85 years

Hi Makofan,

I did play Pendragon in the old days (around 20 years ago when I was a youngster) and would love to dive back in. I have experience of playing in Birthright PBEMs but would maybe require a bit of handholding for the first steps.

Would love to have you! I am using October to gather players, and will set up the campaign in November, aiming for a mid-November start date

If you could do me a favour and rank these four campaigns in order of personal preference?

1) Great Pendragon campaign, 480 AD to 565 AD (15 years of Uther, 15 years of no king, then the arrival of Arthur). Set in Salisbury. This is the hardcore epic sweep campaign. Uses 5th edition.

2) The Boy King.: 505 - 530. Very heavily military focus. Battles almost every year (pre-Arthur, Arthur unification, Arthur vs Saxons, Arthur vs Picts, Arthur vs Romans, Arthur vs Irish). Merlin disappear, Courts of Love established, foundation of Round Table. Players come from Cameliard. Get a chance to get close to Arthur before he gets remote and famous. Uses 5th edition and Book of Battle.

3) Age of Chivalry 531 - whenever. Tournaments, Romance, Quests, Magic. Set in Camelot, knights come from all over. This is the King Arthur most people remember from books, stories, films. Uses 3rd edition

4) Pagan Shore. 531 - whenever. Set in post-conquest Ireland, players can play magic users, bards, whatever. Very little Arthurian content at all, will be very strange and challenging. Will be mostly experimental with the DM not having a clue what he is doing. Uses 3rd edition with 4th edition magic rules

Pagan Shore would be interesting. I thought of running a Pagan shore myself at one point, just as a way to enjoy a campaign with the feel and mechanic of pendragon without being bound to the setting and plot. Then I read the book and my brain twisted itself into a pretzel, so I abandoned the idea. But I wouldn't mind playing in a Pagan Shore campaign, so long as someone else is GM'ing.

Hi Mr 47, it also twisted my brain into a pretzel!

From the responses I am getting, a Pagan Shore campaign looks unlikely, but I will know for sure by end of October and will keep you posted

I'd like to play a game of Pendragon I've been looking to get into it but unfortunately I found no one who's actually really interested in my area.

Have you played online? It is a bit of a different experience, maybe 3 posts per week. It lacks the immediate urgency of face to face play but can still be rewarding

Hey Makofan,

How are you doing?

Is this a play-by-post type of game you're setting up?

Makofan

Yes it is

I have enough players to get started, but can handle a few more. I expect it to be online about mid-November

You interested in 5th edition and the GPC, or 3rd edition at the height of Arthur's reign?

I'm playing in a PbP GPC on Myth-Weavers, which has been running since 2010. I've been looking for another good PbP Pendragon game, but haven't been able to turn much up. That said, I'd love to apply for this one!

My rankings would be as follows:
1. GPC-This is what I'm most familiar with, and I already have the books. :p
2. Pagan Shore-Just sounds really cool, with lots of new things to experience.
3. Age of Chivalry-Can't go wrong there! I've been waiting for the Golden Age of Arthur in my other campaign for awhile now, and I'm chomping at the bit! LOL.
4. Boy King-This is only last because we are currently in Anarchy in my other campaign, and I don't want to spoil anything to soon. ;)

That said, I would gladly play in any of these. I just love Pendragon. Which PbP site will you be using? Is there anything specific we need to do to apply?

Hi CRaiger

Iwill be setting up my own forum

Be warned that I do all the dice rolling myself. Some players can't accept this, but I have found that it speeds up play tremendously

I will notify you when the game is up.

I am sort of waiting for the Book of Uther also

I'm fine with that. PbP can take a long time as it is. Can't wait!

Any version is fine though my preference would be 5th and GPC

I am starting to set up my 3rd edition Age of Chivalry/Romance game to get all the bugs and rust out. Sir Gwarddur, Craiger89 and greyborea, I will keep you posted when I start up the GPC. I am guessing beginning of January

Sounds good! I've found that most play-by-post games tend to bog down during the holidays, anyway. Can't wait to get started! Just let me know!

Hello everyone

If you are still interested in a play-by-post game of GPC, I invite you to register at http://makofan.lefora.com and introduce yourself in the welcome thread. I am slowly setting up the game.

Still very interested. Lefora keeps telling me its server is having issues. Will keep at it,

To any players who have not been able to contact me - Lefora has been down for almost a week. I know their support page (unreachable right now) has said they are replacing all their servers. Please check every couple of days - I am sure they will be up and running eventually

Yeah, I've been looking. For some reason, I can access it through my phone and through internet explorer, but not google chrome....weird.

Scratch that. Once I log into my username, it becomes becomes inaccessible. Before logging in, it said that they have scheduled maintainence to transfer to the new servers, if that means anything to you.

If there is still place for the 5th edition could I join you? I don't have 3rd edition rules sorry.

I sent you a PM

3rd edition and 5th edition are 98% identical, so don't let that be a bother to you
