Hey Pendragon staffers,

I wanted to give feedback for this surprise supplement that I snapped up today. I love official adventures. For example, Paizo must love me and my desire to own official adventure books, but Pathfinder is so hard for me to run when the levels get high. It isn't fun and it takes work to run a battle; work I'd much rather spend on running the game and creating a world. Enter Pendragon!

This short adventure episode doesn't disappoint, delivers the goods it promises, and seeds future adventures into the GPC. Plus I finally have a Sir Blains official heraldry to boot (Now I gotta change my face cards... oh well!) I liked the example given of how the "courtship" went down and I found it helpful for running courtships in the future. (Looking at you, Anarchy.)

Thanks for the work that went into this quick supplement and its great price. Please consider doing more in the future. I would certainly pay a few bucks for more Pendragon and a chance to support my new favorite RPG... maybe of all time!

Glad you like it!

We hoped to get it out sooner, but the best laid plans of mice and men... (Such as us volunteers having our day jobs to pay the bills, etc.)

Hopefully, people are not too far out in their Book of Uther campaigns yet. Furthermore, no one prevents you from altering the timeline to fit to your campaign. For instance, you could easily transpose this 480-483 period to 484 - 487, having Ellen's father die in the Battle of Eburacum. Note that if you do this, of course Jenna wouldn't be born until 488, which might have some important consequences for the Anarchy Period, since she won't be available as a marriage prospect until around 504 in that case. Such a change contradicts KAP 5.1 (where Roderick and Ellen are described as married, with Jenna having already been born, in 485), but if you have not yet trotted Ellen and Jenna to the stage, it is easy enough a change to make. Sir Blains should already be the Steward, though, from late 480 onwards.

Even if you have already portrayed Countess Ellen, you still get plenty of use from this adventure, showcasing how marriages are arranged amongst the barons and how to play visits to other courts. It also has some background info on Sir Blains and the feud. And you can't beat the price!

I found it useful. It also makes me think of using an alternate timeline where Sir Blains gets awarded Lady Ellen

Thanks, US Knight! You could do us a huge favor by writing a review like this on DriveThru RPG. It really helps newcomers feel like the investment in a new game is worthwhile.

Best,
