So, I started the GPC with my three sons (ages 9-13) about a month ago. Today we fought the Battle of Lindsey. I've not been pulling punches or fudging dice, and two of the original three knights are dead already... and the last original knight has earned a passion for "Blood of his enemies." Fun, fun fun!

I have no idea if I'm running things right, I forget DEX rolls and probably a dozen other things, but I don't care. We're having a ball. It has been so rewarding to watch the boys get into their characters... and just sitting back and letting them discuss their actions is its own reward. It has been time well-spent, and I'm hopeful we'll get through many more game years before they get too old and too cool to play.

Sorry, no question or anything. This game has just been a surprising success in my family and I wanted to thank Mr. Stafford for his work, and the KAP community for all the resources and discussions that I've found useful.

Thanks!

Sounds great
thank you for sharing
I played various rpgs with all my kinds, albeit when they were a bit older than yours
I recall the pleasure
and as far as forgetting the DEX roll and so on--who cares?
I think it is a further compliment to your kids to play a sophisticated game at that age at all!
Congratulations
