How do you apply aggravation from combat?

1. 1hp each turn?
2. 1-3hp after each fight?
3. Something else...

I'd say that the stated amount (i.e., 1 for healthy PKs, 3 for unhealthy PKs) is applied after each fight (this is what I understand from the rules and the example).
During Battles, I'd also apply the HP loss multiple times (but not necessarily after each Battle round): this would allow the chance for dramatic events such as an injured PK going to battle, passing out on the battlefield and having to be rescued by his companions...

Option 2 seems to be most in line with the rules (in my reading). However, I would probably do it the way mandrill_one hints in his reply, if an unhealthy character is in the fight. Rather than just waiting until the end of combat and then slapping him with 3 hp aggravation, I would most likely start giving him 1 hp injuries each time he is hit hard enough (hard enough depending on the armor he is wearing, etc). If he gets lucky and doesn't take many hits, I might just give him 1 hp aggravation at the end: obviously the fight wasn't hard enough!

Thanks! Looks like there is no obvious "clear" interpretation of the rules. But I agree with the above, and I think I'll run it like that.

Or maybe Greg has some insight on the intent?
