Okay here is my PK, Sir Lardo the Portly.
Sir Lardo, son of Sir Bacon, is a big man in both height and weight. The fourth son of a landed knight, Lardo the Portly, was(will be) knighted by the Deputy Castellan of Sarum and charged with its defense. Red faced and merry, as a squire he was known to tell a fine story in his big barotone voice. Naturally lovable, just like his father, Sir Lardo's energy and large girth tends to attract the young maidens of court. A fairly pious man, Sir Lardo has taken an old testament view of the Saxon invasion; swearing vengance on all those fairskinned invaders, Sir Lardo has promised to do his share of killing as soon as the battles begin!

Carawydd is the youngest child of Sir Llywell (428-479), a knight of renown who served as Chamberlain for the Earl of Salisbury for 19 years (before his glorious death in 479 at the hands of Saxon raiders) and Lady Indeg (b. 437), the daughter of an officer of the Duke of Silchester.
Carawydd has seven older siblings: sister Nia (b. 458), brother Sir Robert the Sickly (459-484), twin brothers Sir Eiffin and Father Gwanon (b. 460), brother Sir Aeddan (b. 461), and brother Sir Defi (b. 462). Carawydd is tall and thin, and is said to be the spitting image of his paternal grandfather.
Carawydd served as Sir Robert's squire and was with his brother when the latter perished at Mt. Damen. He became Sir Aeddan's squire for the remainder of his training before knighthood. Upon his knighting, he was rewarded by his mother with the family's Rosendown manor north of Salisbury.
The young knight of ordinary means is known for his merciful nature, a trait he inherited from his father. He's also fiercely loyal to his lord - even moreso his family. Carawydd is also an excellent swimmer, having grown up near a small lake and several streams.
Other Family Knights (and all parent's siblings)
Father's Siblings: Sir Edern (b. 430), Lady Melangell (b. 431), Lady Ffraid (b. 432), Lady Annest (b. 434), Father Cyfulch (b. 435), Sir Aeddan (b. 437), (illegitimate) Sir Pedrog (b. 430), (illegitimate) Sir Sawel (b. 431)
Mother's Siblings: Lady Briant (b. 434), Eiffin (Esq.) (b. 438), Hyafaidd (Esq.) (b. 440), Brother Graid (b. 441)
Carawydd's Illegitimate Siblings: Sir Afan (b. 450) (born to mistress before father met mother)
Cousins: Sir Edern the Younger (b. 455)
Characters in bold are part of the family army, which includes all of Carawydd's surviving brothers (a total of 10 knights and 2 esquires). Carawydd's brother Sir Eiffin is the head of the family. Carawydd's maternal uncles Eiffin and Hyafaidd are the long-time squires of Sir Edern and Sir Pedrog, respectively.

Yeah, I love swimming characters! My dream is to have a squire who has swimming, so when my pk has to go save a fair maiden, he can call out, "Timmy! Dive into the freezing river and save yonder wench for me." And then after Timmy saves her, she will run into my pk's arms and say, "You were so galant to have your squire save me, will you marry me and accept my large dowry?"

Sir Lardo, son of Sir Bacon??
A campaign takes on appropriate
tone when the characters have appropriate
names. It is impossible to stop some
people from using ridiculous names like
Exxon, Frodo, or Conan in a campaign,
but it is possible to forestall most of this
foolishness by using only names found in
popular or historical literature.
LOL Sorry, I just thought this was incredibly funny. ;D

My PK is Esquire Ysgarran. He is the 4th son of a houshold knight Sir Gwyn. And his liege lord is a deputy castellan (unnamed as of yet).
Ysgarran is famously Modest and longs to become a knight, and will work to become one just like his father and two of his older brothers.
Ysgarran is very loyal to his lord and extremely honorable

Hmmm...I couldn't get into the website...just the main page that announces they're moving things.
Another option is OnlineRoleplaying.com. I've used it for a couple games I played in and one I ran for a short time. It's a system-neutral site.

Well I know that swine are good Saxons when they are running around free but become Norman when served on a plate....
"The swine turned Normans to my comfort!" quoth Gurth; "expound that to me, Wamba, for my brain is too dull, and my mind too vexed, to read riddles."
"Why, how call you those grunting brutes running about on their four legs?" demanded Wamba.
"Swine, fool, swine," said the herd, "every fool knows that."
"And swine is good Saxon," said the Jester; "but how call you the sow when she is flayed, and drawn, and quartered, and hung up by the heels, like a traitor?"
"Pork," answered the swine-herd.
"I am very glad every fool knows that too," said Wamba, "and pork, I think, is good Norman-French; and so when the brute lives, and is in the charge of a Saxon slave, she goes by her Saxon name; but becomes a Norman, and is called pork, when she is carried to the Castle-hall to feast among the nobles; what dost thou think of this, friend Gurth, ha?"
"It is but too true doctrine, friend Wamba, however it got into thy fool's pate."

Anyways, I rolled up a backup character, haven't created a name for him yet, but he is an esquire and I think I like him more than Sir Lardo! BigSteve, even though my Lardo's poor, may I use my Esquire backup as Sir Lardo's esquire?

So I fixed up my back-up character, Sir James, my PK's older brother (not the oldest). I definitely had some fun creating him, especially since the way the dice fell really shaped him. He has a love (family) passion of 7 or 8 (don't remember off the top of my head), proving that he doesn't care too much for his family because everything he has accomplished without them, plus he's not a fan of the 1st born gets everything inheritance. However, he did end up with a rediculously high Loyalty (Lord) passion (explaining how he, the 2nd son of a poor household knight became a knight). He matches my PK by being famously modest (which to me shows modesty as a possible family trait).
Anyways, I'm looking foward to the start of our game and to playing as an esquire. My ultimate goal for Ysgarran would be to have him become not just a knight, but a vassal knight (owning land would be huge!).

Hi Gents,
Started putting up some threads.
The board is here
http://www.rpgrm.com/rmsmf/index.php?board=385.0
So make yourself members when you get a chance.
I hope you don't mind but I am probably going to skip a big intro as you all now the setting.
The game will begin in 485 at the court held at Leicester and you will be part of the Earls entourage, I will try and get that done before the weeks up, just got back to work and it's a bit mental and my little lad is feeling a bit poorly. :'(
