Hello Guys !

I have a question : after many years wooing her, one of my player married with a rich Lady, and has got 2 manors in the Dowry (more than 20 on the marriage table) !!!!

So, I have some questions :
are those manors in the same County of my player (Salisbury) ? In other words, is there some manors that aren't granted to Vassal Knights in Salisbury (more than the 20's of the creation table) ?
if they aren't, do the player-knight becomes a vassal of an other Liege-Lord ?
are those manors granted to be held in perpetuity, or gifted to be held for the duration of his life ?

GM's choice...

If he doesn't use one in Salisbury, then yes, the poor blighter now has two lords, two sets of duty, and twice the hassles. ;D

That is the GM choice. What do you know about the Lady? Where was her father from? She is from there too. If it was Earl Robert that made the arrangement, then almost certainly her lands are in Salisbury.

Yes, absolutely. The noblemen try to keep as much land as their own as possible. Getting a land grant is a very big deal.

Yes. He will have two liege lords.

None of the above. They never truely belong to the knight, but always t his wife. He will administer them, as is the duty of a husband. They will be passed onto his oldest son or daughter (if he has no son).
