A question for the Court of Love
A player lady is in an Amour with a knight. While her lover is off to war, another knight has begun to seduce the lady... and because of some unlucky Lustful rolls on her part, the seduction is proving rather successful.
By the game rules a character can only have one Amour or Love (amour) passion. However, the "New Rules of Romance" include: "Nothing forbids one woman from being loved by two men or one man by two women." So, in character question is can the lady justify to herself having two lovers by saying this rule of love might allow it after all? The out of character question is, what impact does that have on her Passions?

Ignore the "person can only have 1 amour/love passion - and use it as a plot device.
amour #1 wants lady to do one thing VS amour #2 who wants her to do another = contested amour rolls, contested orate rolls (to see which amour pleads his case better), etc etc.
AND, which ever amour she chooses against, have him formally bring her before the Court of Love for having ignored/broken the "rules"

My two denarii...
While a character can only feel that strong a passion towards ONE other person at the time, nothing prevents from multiple people having a passion towards HER. Amor does not need to be (and often isn't!) reciprocal. Indeed, it would be a Player-Lady's benefit to have numerous amorous knights doing her bidding in order to win her favor, sending them to do quests for her which benefit her and/or her family.
Note that I do make a sharp distinction between Amor (amor) and Love (lover), since the latter in KAP denotes a physical, consummated relationship. The former is expected by the Court of Love. The latter is a scandal when caught, unless they are married. Also, there is a difference between a lady giving a smile to a knight, and her declaring that he is her one and only. A lady can change her mind if she feels that her amor is faithless or simply not ardent enough to prove his devotion, but if they are already in the 'I am yours and you are mine' -phase, then it gets more sticky. Then again, by then, she should have a high Amor towards the knight, too, which SHOULD protect her from would-be seducers. A failed Chaste (or successful Lustful) doesn't mean that a lady would sleep with the seducer! Nor would I let mere Flirting short-circuit YEARS of Lover's Solo. But from the sound of it, this is what has happened in your story? If it is a done deal and she has developed a passion for the seducer, roll the dice. If that Amor/Love is higher, that is the Passion which remains. Otherwise, her feelings for her first amor remain, and she is likely wracked with guilt and remorse.

As they say, your Pendragon may vary...
To expand on the situation a bit - The lady in question has, recently, physically consummated her relationship with the first young knight (...she's pagan, it was beltane...) and they intend to marry (as soon as they convince the knight's father, who is also her guardian, that this is a good match... which is a whole other adventure). Enter charming and famously lustful suitor... and series of contested Amor/Love vs Lust rolls for the lady (her Amor vs her Lust, to be clear) with surprising results that made things rather more interesting than we expected. The lady has not slept with her suitor, but she has allowed him certain liberties.
Basically, we're letting things play out because it makes for an interesting story... especially when her lover returns and discovers that she might have been unfaithful with a notorious - but highly ranked - rake.
As the Bard says - The course of true love never did run smooth.

My 2c:
One: I have never restricted the Amor passion to only one. So a PK could have multiple Amor passions. Although only 1 could be higher than 15. Also as Morien stated the passion does not need to be reciprocal.
Two: Having multiple Amor passions will mean you get into trouble. Certainly if the ladies find out about it. It is all part of the drama of a love triangle.
The reason I allow it is that to me KAP is a game about passions and the drama of conflicting passions. Although a person should declare his undying love to only one person things can become wacky when you also feel something to another. It is a story that probably will never end well, but thats the drama.
