Does anybody know what this is?

Hi - they're cool, aren't they?

The cover page and section headings made in a font called Buccaneer. I used another font called Walsingham in a few places. The main text was Times New Roman.

Buccaneer and Walsingham are from the hard-working, wonderful guys at Font Craft/Scriptorium.

Hey that's great, thanks for your help.

They are indeed very cool. I like the old world feel they have without going down the route of the typical Olde English style.

Exactly! My thoughts, too. I also wanted to avoid Irish Uncial styles. Just seemed too hackneyed. Glad you liked them!

Are these free fonts or do you have to subscribe to the site?

Hi - the fonts are not free, and must be purchased as part of a set of fonts. I have the utmost respect for the guys at Scriptorium as artists and businessmen (for example, call their "help" line and you get one of the owners). Great site. They do have lots of free trial fonts worth checking out.

Worth it if you're a layout hobbyist freak like me. :D
