Hi there, which books of the current editions add rules that are relevant for characters, especially skills, and where is the least expensive authorized place where I can legally buy a PDF version of those books? Thanks!

The core rules and the Great Pendragon Campaign are both available as PDFs from DriveThruRPG.
The main book which adds skills (other than the core rules obviously) is the Book of Knights & Ladies which is currently unavailable but a new printing is to be done as part of the order with the Book of Battle and Book of Armies.
None of Greg's books (Book of the Manor, Book of Knights & Ladies etc) are available as PDFs.

For news on the status of the various releases and releases in the pipeline, you want to see the 'Word from Camelot' section of the forum: http://www.gspendragon.com/roundtable/index.php?board=13.0

Well it sounds like we should do a letter writing and calling campaign to get White Wolf to either publish the game or release the rights...
Anyway can someone tell me any more of the knightly skills that are mentioned in these books? The ones that I *can't* get, I mean... (NOT full quotes, just a description?)

Many of them combine multiple skills under one (for example, if you had the Two-Handed Weapons skill, that would count for the Greatsword and Greataxe skills). You're not necessarily better at these things than a knight without such skills, but they let you diversify without taking up an inordinate number of skill points. Some add something entirely new--for example, in the Italian preview pdf on the website, http://www.gspendragon.com/italians.pdf , Manipulate counts as Intrigue, but you can also use it to replace either your Honest or or Deceitful trait.
The Book of Knights and Ladies is kickin' rad, and you should buy it as soon as you can.

Oops! You've asked exactly what I have asked people NOT do. I've asked NOT quote the books at length, especially at my own site (without permission). Anyway, you asked in the right place, if not quite the right thing or person. :)
Here are the most important skills:
Spear Expertise [Cymric Men]
A character with this skill can use any spear or spear-like weapon equally well, whether horsed or afoot. Specifically, it is used in place of Lance, Spear, and Great Spear.
Spear Expertise is the cultural Specialty skill for male Cymric characters.
Distaff [Cymric Women]
Distaff is the specialty skill for Cymric Women (men have Spear Expertise).
Distaff skill is used instead of both Industry and Stewardship.
Look to the web site soon for the section on converting your old character to use this skill.
Watch the announcements for the availability of K&L, too. Soon!

Well I asked people to give a description, NOT full quotes... like for that "there is a spear skill called spear expertise that helps with all spears and spear like objects except javelins" would be the sort of thing I was hoping for.

I am already embarassed to have been a scold, and I shan't quibble.
Watch the website.
I'm quite a bit behind on it, but with BoA and BoB done, I can pay some attention. (And when they are printed, so will K&L).
