Hi.

I've a question about barguest creature, that appears in Blood & Lust supplement. There splains that if anyone blows this damned dog, all damage done (except if it is defeated in a single blow) is returned to the attarcker and without protection of any armor (nor magical). So, I assume that this dog is the most perilous beast you can face. Is more perilous than a dragon !!!

There is some errata on this explanation?

Any help?

Regards.

You got it right - its a demon dog, so it makes sense.

I do believe, though, that the attacker's Pious skill counts as a "shield" to reduce the damage (or is that another demon creature I'm thinking of ...?) Personally, I also allow the Armor of Honor to reduce the damage done in return.

On Blood & Lust there is nothing about any trait or passion. So, I consider too difficult destroy that beasts !!! I will thnik two times next time I try to take on this.

I don't know the exact tale, but if you a look at a lot of quests, not just Arthurian it's not always about strength of arms (though some of my players think all foes can be beaten to a pulp).

Most often you need to perform a quest to find the weapon or weakness that can defeat a beast like this & sometimes the bad guy wins.
