Source: King Arthur Pendragon, 5th edition (Hardcover)

p. 108
- Step 4: Economic Circumstances
- Effects of Maintenance
- Rich & Superlative:

1) Does a Rich knight get a modifier to Horse Survival Rolls?

2) There are 2 Superlative knight modifier rolls for Childbirth listed?
Just double checking that the greater one is the correct one?

Thanks,
Rookdodger

Not time to check my books right now, but I do note that on the errata page (http://www.weareallus.com/pendragon/pendragon_errata.html) Greg notes the following:

Page 108, Superlative childbirth
Under Effects of Maintenance, Superlative: strike ?and a +3 modifier to on the Childbirth Table.?

Thanks for answer the 2nd question Merlin. I checked the Errata but must of clicked on the wrong book.
That's what I get for posting when I am dead tired.

Now only:

1) Does a Rich knight get a modifier to Horse Survival Rolls?

Thanks,
Rookdodger.

1. From what I can see, no. The errata states that you only need to make stable rolls for special mounts (differently colored, larger than normal, not available in the current era, etc.), the rest are considered to have a stable of ready replacements available.

A Rich knight does not get a horse survival modifier.

This means:
Rich knights effectively halve the chance of child death, but horses die just as often as normal knights.
Superlative knights don't suffer child death (except in unusual cases), and horses die half as often as for normal and rich knights.
