Apologies if I've missed this in the GPC but can someone shed some light on this for me.

Whereabouts does Uther and his retinue actually reside? Roderick is in Sarum, Ulfius in Silchester etc, but what about the king? Does he just spend the whole year lodging with different vassals?

The latter. It is called the lord's Progress. There is an example in the background for Sarum, isn't there?

But I like to use Colchester, Camulodunum, the old Roman capital as the administrative headquarters. Ambrosius, the Last Roman, would have done that. Uther would have kept it. That is part of the reason that the Angle invasion is so terrible.
