Ending extended Melee, p53 : "A unit may repeat the phase as long as the players wish". Does it means that the opponents are also from a new wave (with full hp) ?
No, not unless the situation calls for it (like attacking an enemy leader).
Although if it goes on too long, say 3 rounds to rescue a friend, then I will either declare they are victorious by fiat, or send in a new wave of fresh troops.
