[li]Fight an Enemy leader, p54 : there's some words missing from the beginning of the second column.

Page 54, top of right column, should be:

If this attack was against a battalion commander, one of these second round combatants is that leader. He could enter the fray, watch, or try to escape.

I think I'm missing something obvious, but when during the extended melee , if at all, is it possible to attack an enemy leader? I think I am misreading the rules, but the way I understand the rules, most leaders will prudently run away when attacked. Is there no way for the player knights to attack or chase down a fleeing leader?

No, not guaranteed.
You can switch to a different mode, that of roleplaying, to attempt pursuit.

They have bodyguards to protect them, and give them time to run away if needed.
However, their job is not to run away--they are still knights--and their departure beheads their own forces.
Gamemasters should determine if the particular leader is brave, capable and willing to engage, rather than being modern and running away.

And how do you capture an enemy leader, do you have search for him, similar as for rescue friend/prisoner, despite already being in extended melee?

Do you need to fight another wave of fresh bodyguards while capturing?

Does a battle leader that run away influence the battle intensity?
Does inflicting a Major wound on an enemy leader (thus not killing and not capturing) effect Battle Intensity?

You could, but most likely you will find him through Opportunity (p 38), or a scripted event (63)

Do you need to fight another wave of fresh bodyguards while capturing?

See page 54
What does "another" and "fresh" mean?

Does a battle leader that run away influence the battle intensity?

If the leader goes away, the Intensity goes away

Does inflicting a Major wound on an enemy leader (thus not killing and not capturing) effect Battle Intensity?

If the leader goes down then the Intensity goes down.

If the leader goes away, the Intensity goes away

So is the intention that if a leader runs away from a "Fight an enemy leader" encounter then he has also left the battle? Or should there be some intensity reduction, -2 perhaps?

I'd also be tempted to award my player knights glory if after hacking their way through the first set of bodyguards they inspire such fear in an enemy leader so as to make him flee. Certainly a story for proud Knights to boast about :)

It is the same as the death of the battalion commander = -10.

Same as his death: 100 each.
See page 55

Would I be right in believing that the assumption is that the fleeing enemy leader is still on the battlefield somewhere working with his army?

The intensity reduction being more due to the loss of moral as his followers see him run away from a fight than due to his permanent departure?

Or if he flees is that him heading for the hills and abandoning his men?

I lowered the Battle Intensity by 5 after my players ran of an enemy hero (since according to start battle conditions gives a +5).

This is now in GM decision land.
