More on the Squire Roll and Extended Melee Phase.

p. 50: A successful squire roll allows the squire to perform "one action".

p. 52: No squire rolls during extended melee!

Question:
(For the sake of establishing a norm, lets ignore the Gamemaster Fiat rule on p. 52.)

Does the above mean that squires are never able to help out in any way during an extended melee phase, and that the norm is that you have to wait until the end of the next battle round? If so, can I "save" a sucessful squire roll for an upcoming extended phase and have the squire help me then?

Thank you.
