Got Google Wave?
Well, I would like to try my hand at running a game through Wave, and I need players.

This is semi-experimental, I don't know if this will be run out of sync or occasionally we'll require everyone to gather at the same time to run out combats or other time-sensitive parts of the game. I do want to play with the manor and battle systems (fantastic books, Greg). and flesh out characters, manors, and the various NPCs at court. I'm new to Wave, too, but I think it's got some potential.

If you're interested, let me know through this thread. Players of any experience level are welcome to join (though I suspect visitors to this site are well versed in both Pendragon and Arthurian lore). The game would start in 485 with standard character creation from the main book. Don't go creating anything beforehand; we'll handle that through the wave.

I am not terribly experienced with the system and only have only marginally geeked out on Arthurian literature. I own and wish to run the Great Pendragon Campaign, and both the new Manor and Battle books.

I also have 25 Wave invites if you're interested in playing but don't have an account of your own yet. I'm looking for no more than 8 players. Session gatherings would require only four players.

I'm already involved in one GPC play-by-post, but I'd be interested in trying this if you'll have me. I do not have Wave, nor do I have any of the expansion books except for the Book of Knights and Ladies.

Heh, I've felt that Wave is a solution looking for a problem. Maybe this is it ?

We've got three new knights discovering their place in the world so far. These three are guaranteed manors.
The next three to join use will have a 50% chance of inheriting a manor.
Players 7 and 8 will be household knights, living under the Earl's roof. This isn't necessarily a bad thing!

Thus far I've discovered how to embed google documents within the wave, with a multi-sheet spreadsheet containing all of the necessary information for player characters. Here's our first player's sheet (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AtnT5YnuWivVdGdIcEVtVlBka3A1amg5UUhSRnV1T 2c&hl=en).

I'm interested but my machine is a Mac and I have no experience with Google Wave. Also, I'll be going overseas soon, although I'll still have access to a computer every day, it will be restricted as to the amount of time and it may be at odd times.

Runs in your browser. Macs handle it just fine, at least using firefox.

Yes, Wave is browser based, but I've had one person point out that it is not friendly/compatible with Internet Explorer. Wave is a Beta product that uses emerging standards and may not be compatible with everyones' setup. Take that in mind if you want to make the leap right away. I've been using the most current version of Firefox without issue.

We're also using google docs for character sheets, but those are/will be embedded within the waves themselves.

Ironically enough, I've found that Firefox works better with Google Docs than does Chrome, Google's own browser.

We've moved on from Google Wave (check it out (http://www.russelldeneault.com/gpc)) to a whole new wiki/forum setup.

A few players have stopped playing entirely, so we're a little low on characters at the moment. Give me a shout if you would like to join us. The campaign is beginning a wrap-up of 488 this week.
