I'm trying the Battle of Mearcred Creek with the BoA and BoB. Fun stuff!

My PC knights charge a Saxon army and face elite Heorthgeneats with javelins and great spears and the two-attack ability. If they don't want to let the javelin rolls go by unopposed (those things hurt without a shield!) then must the knights split their attack between javelin and spear?

If they succeed against the javelin attack then I assume they get a Win but do no damage to the heorthgeneats (at least until the opposed roll vs. the great spear?)

BTW, these guys are nasty! The 25 glory is well deserved. Poor Sir Elad would have been killed by javelin critical in the first charge if it wasn't for his bodyguard. As it was, he was killed by spear critical right after! Time to find another mentor for the player knights.

The combat rules are no different from melee combat.
You are attacked twice in one round: your choice of what to do.

See page 46

They do not love you.
Same day your knight will be that tough.
If he survives

Poor ol' guy. Well, it was fast.
In such circumstances a PC might take command of the eschille.
