Hi all,
during my larger adventures I like to throw some smaller encounters that 'test' my characters traits and passions (and I love during the climax of an adventure to throw a situation where a player has to chose between his passions).
eg.
Do you fight your cousin (love family) who defected to the other camp (loyalty lord)?
Do you perform an unnoble act (honour) if asked by your amor (amor)?
Do you attack your enemy (hatred) in the court of your lord (hospitality)?
Sort of like those old Ultima 6 character creation questions where you were forces to choose between virtues.

Now, I am running low on ideas, so I hope some people here can help me out with 'common' situations where passions/traits conflicts.

Well, I've been thinking of setting up a conflict between Hate (Saxons) with Love (Family) or Hospitality.

Not sure why, but I keep getting many 'Family member missing' results in the Family events table in the winter phase. So here is an idea I have regarding a possible outcome.

Situation, Missing family member is a sister. Year 48x

Around the year 505 or so, a young Saxon (16 or so encumbered by an dying woman) will turn up at the manor of one of the knights seeking hospitality. They have been pursued by Saxon's.

The reveal is that this young Saxon is the Knights nephew, who escaped with his mother as her dying wish was to be buried in the family home.

Depending on how the Knight handles this, it could allow the knight to generate an Early Saxon Knight should he wish from the BoK&L.

Loyalty (Group) vs. Loyalty (Lord)
Loyalty (Pendragon) vs. Loyalty (Lord)

A knight with two lords is subject to some tough decisions if the two war against each other.

Hate vs. Hopsitality

Also, a lot of traits could come into the mix, too. While there are some signficant differences between Armor, Love and plain old Lust, Lust is just as likely (if not more) to get a knight into trouble.

Mercy vs. Hate is a common example.

In fact, since almost any combination is possible, I suggest making up a little table with all the traits and passions, and rolling up some potential conflicts, and then working out the circumstances that could trigger such conflicts.

Chaste vs. Honor? Energetic vs. Loyalty (lord)? All possible.

Exactly, a grand matrix would be great, I am just a bit stumped with potential conflict there.
