Posting Rules & Guidelines:
1. Forum courtesy: Please treat everyone with courtesy and respect. Practice charitable reading. If you feel inclined to respond angrily to a post, take a little time to cool off before posting, and/or use the Report to Moderators button. Do NOT attempt to police the forum yourself.

2. Foul language and obscene images will not be tolerated. Consider the forum family friendly.

3. Personal attacks and inflammatory behavior will not be tolerated. If you want to praise or criticize, give examples as to why it is good or bad. General attacks on a person or idea will not be tolerated.

4. Try to keep on topic: Some friendly chit-chat is acceptable, but try to stay on topic. Moderators may split an unrelated post off into a new topic, but try to save them the effort: use the New Topic button where necessary.

6. Private discussions: Sometimes, a discussion strays off into a friendly dialogue or a heated debate. Be prepared to use Private Messages to continue personal discussions, and keep public posts for matters of interest to the Pendragon community.

7. Spam: Unsolicited commercial messages are spam, but so is posting the same message to one or many topics or boards, even if you slightly alter the phrasing. Such messages may be deleted or moved. Please do your best to post your topics to the appropriate forum board, and do not start new threads to complain if you have been banned from other threads. Signatures and profiles may not contain advertising (includes links of a commercial nature) unrelated to roleplaying, or the topics of this forum.

8. Deleting Posts: please refrain from deleting posts, if others have already responded to them. This disrupts the conversational nature of the forum.

9. If someone has posted copyrighted material or otherwise illegal material, please notify a moderator so that we may take appropriate action.

10. The forum moderators reserve the right to take any action they feel necessary to preserve the health and civility of the forum. This is not a free speech zone, it is a civil speech zone. If you have a problem with moderator action, do not complain publically - use the Report to Moderator button. Any message sent this way goes to ALL of the moderators, and rest assured, your complaint will be discussed by the entire team.

Consequences of Violating These Rules
Failure to abide by these results in consequences. The Moderators will:

On the first offense, notify the offending individual with the following warning in the thread:

If the moderator considers it a serious offense, or they believe you are familiar with the forum rules (for instance, you have been warned several times before), your posting privileges may be suspended for one week.

A third:

You may not post for 30 days, or start any new threads to complain about it.
