It looks like my players want to go up to Rydychan and help out the Countess in exchange for holdings.

Is it safe to assume that there's a manor for each household knight? (so, Sir Bege holds 21 manors (including ones enfeoffed perhaps))

If the players manage to defeat the brothers, would the Countess make three of them Bannerets?

How much is a third of the income from Oxford City? 15 pounds or so?

Nope. If they had manors they would be vassal (landed) knights. A better assumption is that the lorde in question has at least 4L in income per household knight (so he can maintain them).

Possibly. THe way the adventure is written, she is probably willing to let the PCs work it out amonst themselves, provided they will hold the land in her name and be loyal vassals. So they could divide the land up differerntly than the three brothers. Maybe splity thingds up 4 or 5 ways.

If they can get it.

Probably something like that. One of the brothers lives as a superlative knight based on 0one-third the icome of Oxford, so since superlative is 13L+ to 20L a year, then one third of Oxford must be at least 13L. So 13-15L looks about right to me. So Oxford is probably worth 40-45L a year, but could be worth as much as 60L.

To make the math worth out easy, I'd go with Oxford being worth 42L a year. That way it is worth the same as 7 manors, and one-third the income would be worth 14L. But anything within 39L-60L would fit the adventure.

THe other easy math points are:
48L (8 manors, 3x16L)
54L (9 manors, 3x18L)
60L (10 manors, 3x20L)

You might want to pick an income based on how many PCs you are going to have to divide the city up between.

Thanks for the help, Atgxtg!

I meant manors owned by the brothers. Isn't that what you typically do when you have more than one manor, put a household knight (or your lord's household knight) in it to watch over the manor?

I'm trying to figure out just how much land there is. Clearly there's the three castles, but how many manors?
