View Full Version : The battle intensity for my side is 25: does it affect my manouvre options?

Having spent the better part of today working on my 2 page battle aide memoire for GM's (which if it works, I will run past Greg and then post), then this together with my previous reading during the week means I'm fairly familiar with what is in the Book of Battle.

At intensity 25 my side signals a general retreat. (The inference is that this means in 3 turns the battle will be regarded as over).

I can't see though where my battle options for those 3 turns are actually affected. Admitted the high intensity may mean that I'm likely to choose withdraw (or run away) but as far as I can see I can choose any option that my battle result (win, tie, partial success, fail) lets me chose on any other turn.

Do others with more experience of running battles agree?

Yes, that is right.
You must assume that the rest of the army is going to withdraw, however, and leave you high and dry if you remain there.
