Okay, not really a rules topic, but I really like the new cover for 5.1.
See the announcement here (http://www.gspendragon.com/roundtable/index.php?topic=600.msg6537#msg6537).

Overall I do too. Much better than 5e in my opinion!
I am somewhat concerned with the red text and scroll work on the back. I know its supposed to stand out, but it kindof clashes. Perhaps blue text with a yellow border, or yellow text with a blue border for more readability? Scrollwork being the same?

The new cover is very beautiful.
I was concerned about a new logo and cover for 5.1 as I really like the KAP 5 cover.
However, I'm now really looking forward to the new 5.1 edition.

It looks really beautifull, although the idea of a 5.1 Edition sounds discouraging to me.

Awesome!
Far better than previous 5.0.
I feel it get the spirit of the game.
Congratulations.

Aye, I think it's definitely much better than the 5.0 cover and really does scream "Arthurian Legend" on first glance, though I do find it a little funny how non-chalant the guy looks in the image, like he gets handed mystical swords by women in lakes all the time. ;)

Based on what Greg has said, it's just the 5th edition with the errata fixed, which IMO is great. You don't need to buy the new book if you already have a 5th edition book and have the errata from the website printed out. I will, both to support Nocturnal getting the game I love back into press, and to have an extra rulebook for players to reference during games - but it's not a "forced upgrade" like some other (larger but far less awesome) game publishers have been accused of releasing.

I agree 100%. Pendragon is such an amazing game I guess I would still buy a 5.10213 complete version ^^ And indeed, this cover is really great :-)
But still, sometimes I wish I wouldn't FEEL COMPELLED to buy a whole "new" book with only erratas and cover being new. Although It seems there will be some new rules or rules clarifications, which sounds great, and well worth it.
I know I can still print the erratas, but hey, you are a fan or you are not :-)

I do like the old KAP5 cover as well, as I have fond memories of a multi-session adventure featuring the Troit Boar, in which the players each gathered up all their spare, mostly-unused characters, and by the end many of them were dead. I'm not sure 'y players memories are as fond - but they did speak about it for long after :)

The KAP 5 is nice art, but it just doesn't look "Pendragon-ish". Yes, it's the Troit Boar, but the guy on the cover with the boarspear just doesn't seem like a knight. No shield, horse, or any trappings that suggest knighthood. Not even a surcoat.
But Arthur getting a sword from the Lady of the Lake, that is certainly appropriate.

The new cover looks great.
I never had a copy of the WW KAP 5, but I too quite liked that cover, with Arthur wearing that conical style helm and wielding the classic boar/great spear..

I quite like the KAP5 cover with the boar. Our group's style is pretty harsh and bloody, so the rough and tumble look of KAP 5 fits nicely. I'll reserve judgment for KAP 5.1 until I see a larger photo and my own beloved copy in hardcover.

I think the problem with the old cover is that it required explanation. Once you read the blurb about how the Troit Boar episode represented a focus on the earlier, more mystical pagan-inspired parts of the legend rather than just the high chivalry, it made perfect sense and made for a wonderful cover; however, until I read that explanation, I was just kind of confused.

Of course, the KAP 5 cover fit the current trend in Arthurian fiction - more "Arthur dux bellorum" and less "King Arthur". But I think that the 5.1 cover (which I just saw on Greg Stafford's site) is really great - and "Pendragon" (while making some use of the "Arthur dux bellorum" trend) is "King Arthur" at its core.

I really like the new cover. Also liked the previous cover, but this one is more iconic and instantly recognizable.

I also really like the covers of the "Book of" series, and I wish the inside illustrations of 5.1 will be of equal quality and style.

That's Arthur?!
He's definitely recognizable as Arthur to me. :)
I thought it was great to see Arthur in action, like during the early battles or his adventuring days in (book 4?) of Le Morte D'Arthur.
