Hi

I am currently reading the Great Pendragon Campaign, which I must say is the single greatest roleplaying campaign (or roleplaing book) that I ever bought. I just hope I will be able to find players who are willing to play it as my current players are reluctant to say the least.

I have noticed a minor detail:
On page 141, the battle of castle Terrabil is described, and the map on page 142 locates the castle to mid-England. In the Uther period though, a (castle?) Terrabil is attacked in cornwall (page 53).

Are there 2 castles Terrabil? (Or am I just missing a minor detail?)

ps: sorry for any bad spelling and such, I am not a native english speaker.

There are two castle Terrabils. You have it right. There is the one in Cornwall where Duke Gorlois lived, and Arthur is conceived. It is a heavily fortified castle ( one of the top 2 or 3 well defended castles in Britian). And the 2nd one is in Cameliard just north of Stafford. I think its King Leodegrances primary stronghold. So u are right. ;)

Well, Cornwall's Terrabil is actually an inland castle that protects the route to Tintagel, which is where Gorlois lived and where Arthur was conceived.

Speaking of Terrabil, my group just finished the 491 Battle of Terrabil vs. Gorlois. All of the conscious player knights rushed him while his sword was still stuck in Prince Madoc's body (we have one character who always seems to get knocked out early in every fight...King Uther gave him the nickname "First to Fall"); three of the PCs hit, one with a critical. They killed him on the spot.

It was a bit anti-climatic, but, then, it also saved the PCs a butt-whipping at the hands of an frenzied duke. ;D

The PC who struck the fatal critical had a son that winter and named him Madoc. The king was said to be pleased to hear that and sent a message to the young knight. Of course, that may mean said young knight will be invited to a certain feast in a few years... ;) (Muahahahaha-oh, sorry, I think I started drooling there...)
