A couple of follow on questions from this (http://www.gspendragon.com/roundtable/index.php?topic=609.0) topic, broken into it's own thread per Greg's preference.
OK, say you've a unit of knights who won their commander's battle roll against the UI and opt to go for an attacking move. "Suprise!' says the GM "Those guys hitch up their skirts and leg it for a nearby spinney. The only valid attacking tactic at this juncture is 'Run Them Down!'"
The unit commander decides he doesn't want to play that game and holds his men back.
Can he? How is the turn resolved?
Suppose the unit commander decides that he will play their game and the sprinters are x3 enemies (a mob of peasants say). Even with a +10/-5 reflexive modifier on the combat rolls, the players don't fancy their odds when splitting their skill three ways so they decide to only attack one enemy each and let the other two roll their Dex unopposed to get away.
Would those ignored enemies count as a 'loss' when tallying results for the battle round result? Why? Why not?
Regards
Luke
