Sorry about the delay in starting folks - scene on Monday morning. If Darren and Sir Pramalot can get their characters posted by then, that would be great. As there's been no response to the question of two units or one, lets go for one to start with - there's no reason we can't split into two groups later if we want to see how that affects things.

Hey Ben,
I agree no one has replied, but 5 people have voted. Currently, as of 7-16, the vote is 2-3 with the nod towards 2 units.

Thanks for pointing that out Bob! I hadn't checked the vote as I'd assumed that as it showed up as no replies no one had voted - lesson, never assume anything! :-[

I still think that maybe for the First Charge we'll treat it as a single unit to keep it simple to start, but then maybe split into two if the vote remains that way!

No problem, but this brings up a point that could come up in play: Could a Banneret or other unit commander 'split' his forces (probably bad idea historically, but players are players) and does the system give that option?

Not that I want the job as I feel if it may not be my forte, but who is our heroic leader?

Visors down lances up?

Who's to be the Unit Leader(s)?

I would suggest that you look to the 2 players who's knights have Battle 20 - Hzark and Avalon Lad - if they feel they can commit in this way. I can allocate the other knights to the two of them. I would like to suggest, though, that you work together to decide maneuvers, even though they get to roll. You can all make suggestions, and get to grips with this aspect of the system, but they get to roll.

To begin with, in round 1, the First Charge, its easy. No decisions to be made, the maneuver is already in place - charge - and only one dice roll is required to see if you get the charge bonus. Shall we say the first of these two who rolls, gets to leads the unit that round, before a split in the second? (Assuming of course they're up for it!)

A roll of 17, a success for my Battle roll.

(Oh, where should I have posted this?)

In the Round One thread - I'll see if I can move it (if I can't I'll copy the information over!)

Edit - I see you've done it already!

Ahem - Avalon Lad's character has a Battle skill of 19.

silburnl's character on the other hand...
